Hi, I'm new to AppleFritter. I have quite a few apples... the one Iam inquiring about is a G3 iBook 14" 640MB/20/600MHz. I already upgraded my ol' wallstreet laptop
Now I would like to know if anyone can direct me to a site or if they knew themselves.
If I can upgrade the G3 iBook. It powered-Up I was online then it Shut-Down
Reading the logic board common problem wit htis item.. I thought perhaps I could
just upgrade the iBook's to perhaps G4? any suggestions?
(I already called a local AASP) but would like to see if I can tinker withupgrading myself.

iBook G3 What to Do What to do?
..Another ques. in regards to a B&W. I installed a DVDR/CDRW along with a zip drive...
into my B&W. The system Profiler acknowledged the installation after I adjusted the jump thingy majiggy)
One problem. the Disc door will not open when I command open
seems like it is stuck or something, Now before I decide to dissect this DVDR/CDRW I am sure there is a much simpler step I am overlooking. Can anyone point me to a cool site with
helpful troubleshooting solutions?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have the AASP handle the logic board REA program for you. If you want to go G4, sell your iBook once fixed and apply the money towards a G4 iBook. It'll be less expensive and easier on your nerves.
