Request for new Pom1 icon

Hi everyone, I am putting out a request for a new icon to use for Pom1. I like the icon I am using but since it is a trademark of Apple I decided in good faith to discontinue using it. If anyone would like to create a 32x32 icon feel free to do so and I will decide on the best one to use for Pom1. I would still like to use an icon that includes a green apple to keep with the theme. Thank you.

Pom1 for Android Process and Screenshot

I have started development on the Android port of Pom1. The emulation works as far as I can tell. I am moving onto the the Android lifecycle and the UI for the options. Here is a screenshot for your enjoyment.

Any chance of putting "Back to the Garage" book online?

[I also posted this on the Briel Computers forum but I think this is a more appropriate place]

So pretty I don't even want to stuff it, the Museum Mimeo-1

So I finished soldering this week on my latest Mimeo board. This one is a pre-NTI board Mimeo. We are calling this one the “Museum Mimeo” since it’s like a high-end “Museum Store” Rembrandt replica. For the novice they wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, but any one with decent knowledge could tell right away but still appreciate the artistic work that went into the copy.

So how do you get the Apple-1 to play Twinkle Twinkle though the ACI....

Hook up a +40-60db microphone pre-amp to your stereo (If your TV you are using as a monitor has a good amp built in you may hear something on max volume) or use a bass guitar or PA amp like I am, though I tested my DYNEX 15" TV on max volume and can hear it.

Replica1 to Mac via serial

So I have my RS-232 to usb cable plugged in and I've searched google for info on how to do this finding mostly dead links. What I've done so far is download Z-term and install the latest release of Mac OS X Prolific PL2303 driver project. All I came up with so far is the Mac sees it as this in System profiler:

USB 2.0 To COM Device:

Product ID: 0x2303

Need opinion on my VCF East Apple-1 Exhibit....

Mike Willegal will be concentrating on the Apple II this year so I will be doing the Apple-1/Mimeo exhibit at VCF East May 5th and 6th (http://www.vintage.org).

I know it seems early as it's January, but all the prep work will have to be "multiplexed" with all my other projects and Lacrosse season starting up soon for my kids.

So here is my question.

Recreating the gold LM323k on an Apple-1

For my current Mimeo project I have been attempting to find vintage parts. Some are just un-obtainable. While I could spend a ton of time and money tracking down the LM323k with a Gold base, finding the correct date code and more importantly the early National Semiconductor logo would be nearly impossible.

Why does the Apple I not use the 6502 PHI2 signal to sync ram writes?

I se that the replica-1 does use it. Is it because the replica-1 is directly connected to the memory (SRAM) and the Apple I uses buffers on the lines?

Cheers,
Corey
