Logitech Light Always On

I recently got a Logitech MX310 optical mouse. It works flawelessly with USB Overdrive. The thing is, the light stays on when my computer is off. Not just when it sleeps, but when it's completely shut down. I haven't looked close enough to tell wether the light dims at shutdown. My Apple Pro Mouse turns a brighter red when moved, then if let sit after a few seconds it dims again. This one doesn't do that, it's a steady light all the time. I've got it plugged into the USB port on my Apple ADC CRT hooked to my G4/466 Digital Audio. I'm not really worried it's harming the mouse, but I havn't seen any documentation on this phenomenon and I'm curious as to why it happens. Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm betting that the ADC crt

I'm betting that the ADC crt is acting as an always on hub. If the hub is powered, even if the comptuer that plugs into the hub is off, it still will be sending power to the hub itself cuasing the mouse light to be on. (well thats my theory and I'm sticking to it unless someone else has a better one!)

I play Atari while eating my string cheeze!

ADC Power

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the power-on cababilities of the monitor. The ADC cable always has power running through it, or else I wouldn't be able to boot my tower by pushing the button on the monitor. Isn't that the thing about USB too, peripherals can be made to power up the computer? Doesn't that glorified USB knob gizmo give the option of acting as a power button?
