real time text chat using airport

Hi Folks, my boss and I want to be able to chat live to each other in conferences and meetings using an airport network. What software can we use for this? So far we've resorted to putting word files in each others drop boxes! Please help!

We're both on ibook g4's.

Cheers,

Gary

I'm pretty sure you can do just what you're talking about in iChat, using Rendevous messenging.

if the airport network is also a web distribution network then you can use what ever internet based chat system you want. (AIM, MSN, ICQ, iChat, etc.)

Yeah, I only used Fire for MSN but if you want MSN, aMSN is a WAY better MSN client than Adium or Fire though.

Skype works better imho, and works across pc's and mac's. Its VoIP, and supports rendezvous. But iChat works well too Wink
