in my possesion a 5G iPodhello
in my possession a 5G iPod works fine other then the loose firewire cable connection and an iBook G3 w/ DVD/CDRW and 30G has it's damages but still works. Also have a G4 533 still working strong.
Looking for suggestions to what I can do w/ this equipment.

How about putting the board in a compact mac (the G4 won't fit, but the iBook board might)? Replace the crt with the flat screen, load it up with firewire drives (once the crt is removed, plenty of room for a RAID), and have an iPod bay port cut out at the front, using the iPod as a hotswappable drive.
Neat little server with battery backup built in...
What if you made a Mac-based entertainment system? You could put it in a case from a broken DVD/VCR player, hack the combo drive to come out of the DVD slot in the case, and seal up the VCR port except the space for a built-in iPod dock. You could use the iPod for music, and the Mac for DivX movies, websurfing, a really overdone DVD player or a PVR (Dunno about speed tho'). Find some way to map the buttons on the front of the DVD/VCR to control functions of the Mac (FF, Rewind, Pause/Play, etc). Too bad the iPod dosen't do Vorbis, though

these are great ideas could I use these elements with the tower
firewire connection for the drives but what about the DVD
maybe a plantpot or mobile
