yeah, I know there is a post button after you click "preview posting" but I don't want to click "preview" first. I just want to have 2 buttons like god intended there to be. A post and a preview posting button. Smile

I never do anything in the preview either, just another one of those things that backs up me quote.

I HATE THE NEW FRITTER, ITS CRAP.
Like going from mac to winXP or something to that extent.

If you people sit back and think about things for a second you might realize why people do things the way they do.

They want you to preview your posts so that you have a chance to catch any errors/problems you might have missed while typing it. There is no way to delete a post, so if you weren't so sure you wanted to post, making you review it before actually submitting it helps you out.

AMH: Stop just crying about a changed AF, if you don't like it, do some work to help fix it. Being a crybaby doesn't help solve anything. And a crybaby is what you are like, applemachome, trust me I've got a 6month old baby right here. I hope you do get a little offended by this post, becasue I want you to start thinking instead of complaining.

Re: Please yes

Jon has explained perfectly why there is no submit button, only a preview. As you can't delete your posts you do have to engage your brain before your fingers. If you post something amazingly stupid then we'll all see it and you may find yourself ridiculed (in a similar fashion to Slashdot)...

Furthermore, if you really think the new 'Fritter is "crap" then there's plenty of other forums you can go to instead. But this is the new Applefritter and (unless we have a serious server failure and lose months of backups) its here to stay. So get used to it and quit whining.

And another thing, Applefritter Acceptable Use Policy applies as much here as it did before so quit the 'leet speak' and use real words.

BTW, Windows XP isn't all that bad once you turn off all the freakishly large eye candy.

IndelibleTopicTypos(tm)

Suggestion: from a poor-fair typost who overedits, leaving TXTNibbles+Bits(tm) all too often in the wake of cutting and pasting:

Institute a moderated submission/review/replacement process for correcting InitialPostBooBoos(tm). IMHO, you've overcorrected for the DissapearingTopic(tm).

Observation: I've always found IndelibleTopicTypos(tm) over in the AF1.5 forums to be the worst annoyance of all. When a really good thread develops from silly beginnings, maybe a more descriptive header would make for even better forums interaction.

Geez. All I asked for was a post button along with the preview button. If I make a mistake, I can always reedit/modify the posting.

I just find it cumbersome to have to hit preview and then have to immediatly scroll down to the post button and hit it. To me its not very "mac-like".

I didn't mean to stir up a hornets nest of trouble.

Hornet's nest . . .

. . . . I like that imagry! Don't worry about it, this entire project is like the migration of an ant colony!

T.O. and company are busily assembling a lot of old and new material into a workable structure, while some of the colony is holdng down the fort in the old digs. Some are wandering back and forth swarming anything blundered across along the way, be it good, bad, useful or even remotely interesting. All are attempting to figure out where anything encountered fits into the scheme of things none of them fully understand as they work from a stack of sketchy detail drawings, that sprout cryptic notations when they're not looking, on development project for which requirements are still being refined for a blueprint not yet finalized!

Consider yourself an advance scout!
