PB 400MHz Modding

I am swirling a bunch of ideas around my head as to what I want to do with a scrap PB 400MHz. I have ripped apart the case, and Have only the components left. Ideas are nice, but I've got a bunch, and I specifically want to know:
Are there adapters available to switch the ribbon cables to a more standard cable? or possibly extenders? I specifically want to move the keyboard, touchpad, and possibly optical drive. The biggest question I have is how would one extend the display to another location? Is there a cable extension for this? Or something to convert the current connector to VGA or any other standard video line?
