Has anyone ever seen this? This computer came from a public school. It has the older firmware version. It was a battle to get it to run 10.

Did you do a firmware update?
You can't update the firmware on a beige g3.
I have one of those, It might be that OS X did not want to load because the AIO only has 2 to 6 megs of video ram unless you install a different video card. The AIO uses the Gossamer logicboard same as the DT and MT. It is fairly upgradeable. I just upgraded mine to a 300MHz CPU, 128megs ram and a AV Wings personality card and added a memory upgrade to the video (6megs total). Its running OS 9.2 and has Claris works 4.0 on it. Not a bad machine for free.
