Bad Sound on iBook

Hi guys,

I'm having some sound problems with a clamshell ibook I recently got for my sister, and it seems that neither the speaker or headphone jack work. I noticed the jack is very loose and can be wiggled around, and if you hold it a certain way, the speaker will start working and sometimes I will get sound on the right side of the headphones.I replaced the audio cord thinking that might do the trick, but it didn't (kinda, now I get sound on both headphones if I move the jack around and hold it). I got it for my sister so she can listen to the music I put on it, so no sound would render it useless to her. Any ideas on what to do?

Daniel

Does anyone know where I can find instructions on how to replace/resolder the jack?

PB 5300

This story about the PowerBook 5300 (just posted today) is somewhat relevant. It deals with repairing damaged solder joints.
