Check out gamba . . .

. . . and immerse yourself in the exploded diagrams of both systems found in the back of the appropriate Service Manuals . . . be sure to check out the "Ports and Pinouts" pdf for alignment info. There are usually good postscript illustrations (that's what the exploded diagrams are, btw) to be found in the user/quick startup guides and in the DevNotes too.

If you've got Illustrator, it's easy to snag the graphic goodies and then mod them for your own use, but Acrobat reader will suffice.

possible, not an easy one though

I dug out a Gossamer LB and plunked it into an empty B+W case. The PCI slots don't line up well with their case openings, nor do the IO ports.

If one were willing to chop off some LB ports and/or hack up the case back pretty extensively I reckon it can be done. The LB seems to clear most of the internal structure. The one problem I noticed is a potential clearance problem of the RAM against the optical drive carrier.

With the LB mounted high (so the PCI slots match the case), the external SCSI port could be chopped off allowing the LB to fit _if_ the internal plastic door latches are removed.

Alternately, shift the LB downward where the middle PCI slot can align with the lowest case card opening. This position would require some case chopping to allow access to the built-in video port, or perhaps lop the video port off the LB.

Not a difficult hack, but not particularly easy either.
