Average

About 2500 songs for 11 days @ 11.5GB. Since moving the library to another machine, I've noticed that some of the CDs I ripped are no longer there. Once they are back in, it will be around 2650-2700 songs.

No iPod.

no kidding. obviously, not all of it is there yet, but soon. as soon as I get my IMb format HDD mounted, and transfer over the 300+mb, and if I can ever figure how to convert Atrac3Plus files back to MP3 (I did it the other way around), I will have another 500+mb. get back to me then.

A little over 20,000 songs at 100GB. I have a hard drive dedicated for music, plus another in an external enclosure specifically for backing up the music drive.

Music

1140 songs, 5.2GB. Seems the average is about 1000-2000 songs...

Also have a mint* original iPod mini 4GB(Silver)(although talking about iPods is off-topic.)

*ie, I didn't pay for it, don't want it, can't be bothered selling it and hardly ever use it, so it looks new. Smile

Mine

919 songs, 3 days, 10.24GB (my per-song file size is relatively high, as I've got a lot of Apple Lossless-encoded files, and a lot of 320kbps mp3s and mp4/aac's).

My favorite genre is rock I suppose, but my tastes over the past few years have broadened considerably. This month my most frequently played artists include Green Day, Johnny Cash, Queen and Todd Rundgren (among others).

Industrial and the subs like

Industrial and the subs like Industrial Metal. Maybe even a little Goth Metal. But then there's electronic groups like Massive Attack. Do I have to pick just one genre? Heh.
