after seeing projects like griffins total remote control IR adapter and software for pocket pc, i am curious if there are any products like this for mac
what i want to do is:
be able to record IR signals from say a remote controls.
transmit them from the adapter via sound out (just like the griffin product)\

that site was very helpful, but i dont have acess to a pocket pc and would love to be able to do this all on a mac
does any product like this exist?

...and why cant you use the above system?? You may need a mic adapter depending on your mac, but you should be able to do essentally the same thing with your mac/
