Ibook Clamshell display problem

We refurbed a Tangerine Clamshell-replaced the motherboard, new hard drive and display. When we power up, the display is black. We can hear the hard drive making its clicks and whirs so we think the motherboard and hard drive are ok. So how do we check on the display? Could it be the display cable? We put the display into another top case and putting the cables inside the handle area was a b----! Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Check Cables

Hey,

You should first check the display cables to see if they are allright. The cables are attached here . You should check these cables for any bent/damaged pins and make sure they are attached securely to the mobo. The large connector is the display cable, the smaller one is for the backlight.

Thanks for suggestions. We're going to check on the cables tonight. I'll let you know how it turns out.
