I'm selling my 1-year old 12" PowerBook G4, with a 1.5 GHz G4 processor, 1.25 GB of RAM (upgraded from standard 512 MB with an additional 1 GB stick, has been working fine and stable for over 8 months now). This PowerBook is equipped with an Airport Extreme card (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, a scrolling trackpad, Combo Drive (CD-RW/DVD), and an 80 GB hard drive.

The battery still lasts up to four hours and holds a great charge. I think the last time I checked it was at 92% its original efficiency.

It's in great condition, with only a tiny pinprick of an impression mark to the right of the trackpad (see pic), other than that it is flawless.

I love this computer, but I've just been given a notebook through work, so the thought of having this in addition to my PowerBook and my other desktop (3 computers!) is unrealistic at this point.

I should note that I picked up the MacBook Pro last weekend, and wasn't all that impressed with its performanced compared to my PowerBook G4, especially with the increased amount of RAM that I have. You'll be amazed how well this Mac runs with 1.25 GB of RAM compared to its standard allotment.

Asking $1150 OBO - if you are interested *please* contact me, and we'll work something out.

Let me know if you have any questions, or would like to see more pics, which I can host on my Web space as needed. Thanks!

Apple System Profiler in 10.4

In System Profiler, you can look up the battery life and efficiency info. Well, from 10.4 and later. 10.3's system profiler doesn't afford such luxuries.

There's an app called coconut battery http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/ that shows when your Mac was built, and how many cycles the battery has left (in %). That's what I was referring to.
