What;s wrong with my //c?

When I turn it on, all it does is make a ticking sound and move around messed up sprites on the screen.

Are you plugging in from the

Are you plugging in from the composite out of the //c to the composite in of the Monitor //c? Mine would make a weird kind of screen like that if I tried to use the RGB port (which I don't think works at all on the //c) Also, try adjusting the v-hold/sync and the h-hold/sync.

Do you mean you are using the

Do you mean you are using the Composite RCA plug port to the TV? The RGB port I was asking about is the Mac style 15-pin port on the //c. The name for it is the Video Expansion port. If you use a Mac video cable to a IIgs monitor it will output a random series of blue blocks, somewhat like what yours is doing in green mono. I haven't tried any adapter cables to got from the port to composite, so I asked in case you had tried that and was getting a mono version of the blue blocks.

no, i tried using the video e

no, i tried using the video expansion port with an old monitor that came with my LCIII, but the computer wouldn't start up when that was plugged in. so i'm stuck using the RCA plug port into the back of the apple monitor (the apple monitor for some reason only has an RCA in)
