The unfortunate truth is that a lot of people on the board are from California (or elsewhere on the west coast, USA), and so I was trying to include them, too.
I suppose I could do a bi-monthly chat at 6:00PM EST, which works out to about 11:00PM London time, I believe. That is if there's enough interest. If that sounds like something the UKers would like, let me and/or Tom Owad know.
