Try the "red book"

I'm not near my collection of Apple II stuff but I believe the Apple ll technical manual (the Red Book) actually explains the differences of all the Apple II revisions. Chip count and miscellaous jumper switched seem to stand out in my mind. I believe the first board wasn't designed with export in mind and was quickly changed to accommodate 50Hz/220VAC power supplies.

Or I'm full of crap... Anybody have a red book handy?

Steve (obtronix on Ebay) who sold the Apple 1 clones last year, had question very similar to the one you asked about. He asked for 5 differences between early revs of the Apple 1 board. The first person to answer correctly, won something (can't recall what). The question was asked on his ebay auction for the Apple 1 clone.
