SE/30 FLoppy ROMs

Hi! I have an old SE/30, that isnt the FDHD version, and was wondering, Where could I get the upgrade chips, without spending an arm or a leg? anyone have a non working FDHD board I could pull them off of? And what Excatly do the chisp to to enable the SE/30 to read 1.44 meg disks? Also, I have a 1.44meg floppy to put in it.

Huh?

Hey,

You're referring to SWIM ROM and the SE/30 already has them and the 1.44 floppy drive. If you mean you have an SE that has an 800k floppy and want to upgrade to 1.44 floppy drive then you need the SWIM ROM. They used to be common on sites that sold parts.

You might want to . . .

Hey,

You might want to swap the entire mobo rather than ditz with replacing a chip. (Although the operation is pretty simple.) Try the LEM swaplist.
