Wanted to buy or trade: Ethernet card for Color Classic II / Performa 275

Hi guys,

I'm not sure how I managed this, but I swapped out my Color Classic motherboard from another one I had in my parts bin, and it turns out to be a mobo from a Color Classic II (aka Performa 275), according to the Gestalt ID (reads as "83").

Anyway, it's up and running smoothly, with 36 megs of RAM and an external 2gb SCSI drive. Now I need a way to get it on the network.

So, if you've got a card that'll work in this machine (I'm a little confused as to what type of card I'm actually looking for - LC PDS or Comm Slot 1 or 2?), I'd love to pick it up!

Thanks,

Huxley

LC PDS NIC

Now there's a collection of abbreviations ... The port family (thin 10Base-2, thick 10Base-5, and twisted pair 10Base-T) with LC PDS connector to the logic board of your Mac is one of the commonest vintage NIC cards still available. You should be able to get one for less than USD5. Unless you already use a thin-net or coaxial network, look for cards with only the RJ-45 (twisted pair cabling) port for 10Base-T.

That's awesome, thank you very much! I used to know so much of this stuff off the top of my head, but my 680x0-Mac trivia has gotten awfully rusty these past few years...
