USB/FireWire 5.1-7.1 surround sound decoders?

does anyone know of an external box to drive 5.1 to 7.1 speakers?

I found this one: http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=MUSIC2GO&cat=CON on computer geeks, but I don't think it'll work for macs. I am looking for something such as that.
