Here's a link to my Black G3, which used to be a B&W. I used Krylon Fusion, which I highly recommend:

Is it done? How about painting the big huge apple on the side - perhaps white?
Yeah, I thought about it, but couldn't figure out how to get that Apple out. Tried pushing out from the other side, but wouldn't budge. Anyway, I think it looks good just as a "subtle" apple blended in with the other black.
Opinions?
Anyways, I think any color is better than that pukey turquoise bleu that Apple used. That had to have been the worst color job on any computer - period.
Opinions??
. . . nice hack!
I like the black apple too, but I wonder how well "fusion" would hold up on the handles? ALL BLACK with gloss/semi-gloss/matte effects would really rock!

I appreciate the kudo.
NOW - all you B&W owners out there - Get some Krylon Fusion and get PAINTING!
If anyone wants them, I have detailed "instructions" on dismantling a B&W case so you can do a clean job of painting.
Let's eradicate the Blue from the Blue & White!
I like that idea, but the black and white also looks pretty good.
Looks nice.
i dunno, i like the my B&W the way it is, but that black is pretty slick
IMHO solid white would look better than the transparent plastic ... matching apple logos (front and sides) would look cool aswell

The Apples on the sides will pop out with some effort. They're held down by some fairly strong adhesive, but once you break the seal, they'll pop right out.
