ADB and PS/2 use different

ADB and PS/2 use different signaling protocols so it is going to be hard harder than just swapping a few pins. So you are going to need something like this. http://www.onehandkeyboard.com/product_view.asp?RecordNumber=141&sbcolor=%23FFCC99&option=adapter&subcategory=&CatTxt=&optiontxt=Adapter

Though since you are using a 8600 just get a USB card and use a USB mouse.

Serial port drivers?

If PS/2 is adaptable to a serial mouse connection (as the availability of inexpensive straight pinout DB9 adapters leads me to believe) you may be able to find a mouse driver for a serial port connection . . .

. . . there used to be one back in the PaleoMac era anyway.
