9500 Logic Board Removal

I am trying to get the logic board out... I have unplugged everything I can from it and I can't get it to slide forward... I got the screw in the middle of the board and the power switch off on the front... any ideas guys?

I think I see the problem :-(

I think I see the problem :-(. There is no plastic carrier protecting the motherboard... do any of you have any idea where I can get one when I finally get it out? I also might make this a secondary power mac because the case is crazy... should I get a s900/910 or a 9600?

The G3s and G4s were very nice machines

The G3 (Blue & White) and G4 (Yikes, Sawtooth, Gigabit, Digital Audio, Quicksilver, and MDD) towers were nice machines -- powerful, expandable, easy to work on. Aim for one of these (particularly a Quicksilver) and you won't regret it.

I've got a gigabit ethernet d

I've got a gigabit ethernet dual 500mhz with a gig of ram and 80 gigs worth of storage space... it does really well for me, but for some reason I have a thing for PCI Power Macs... eventually I will move on and get (or make) an intel mac (my family has a core2 mini) but I was just hoping to get a case that was a bit less crazy. lol

Little Plastic Gizmo

On the 9500 I think there is a little plastic gizmo between the logic board and the front of the machine that also has the buttons for the Reset and Power switches. That has to be unclicked and pushed out of the way before the logic board can slide forward.

I hated getting in & out of both of those machines so badly that I got rid of them at work as quickly as budget allowed. Horrible, horrible design.
