Hi Karateka is truly an awesome game and Jordan Mechner's first masterpiece (his 2nd being Prince of Persia). I'll be glad to help you play it once again. Just e-mail me for details on how to at rendezvous(at)club.fr. I myself I'm looking for another Apple II game I kinda lost over the years, so perhaps you can help me find it too, then we can both sleep well once more, right? hehe :). Cheers.
hi 2EOR2C I send ur message.but you had no answer.I hope you can reply.I really like this game.who can assist me?
Hi adoreapple sorry but I checked my email account only, not for applefritter private messages so I did not get your message. check you inbox now, I just sent a PM to you.
Hi I tested several versions of Karateka on a real Apple IIc ; one version will continously reboot at start, while another seems to work fine. Here are some actual TV screen shots of that working version :
Just for fun : the picture below is from an emulator running Karateka showing the Karateka beating Akuma right in front of the Princess in her prison chamber : No retreat, no surrender !
I played it on both a IIe and II plus as well as a II clone and i don't remember that problem. I wouldn't be surprised if the rebooting problem was due to copy protection.
hi,lasttime you sent email.you wanted to change any game that you want it.but you have no any message.what is wrong with you?hope can get your answer.
Hi I sent two e-mails in the last few days but got no answer about Karateka. maybe something wrong with your mail account ? Try sending me a PM on applefritter, I hang around often here so it'll appear on my view inbox.

hi,it is tuesday I guess after two days. You can receive my disk games.but x'mas eve.sometime it is hard to say.anyway, receive it pls inform me.and my email.did you receive it??
WARNING : SPOILERS!
The worst and most pathetic ending possible : Akuma defeated, Karateka dead, with the Princess alone and looking on two inanimate bodies :
The Bad, the Good and the Ugly !?
Best ending possible ? Vanquished, Akuma lies dead next to the soon-to-be-wed Princess and Karateka :
The Beast and the Beauty !?
Karateka, arguably the greatest Apple II action game? Cheers
The only way you get the "worst and most pathetic ending possible" is to approach the princess in a fighting stance after you have defeated Akuma. If you just walk over to her then you'll get the "best ending possible".
