Hi guys,
I know you can help me in solving this problem
It has to do with two educational 8-bit ProDOS programs
downloaded from the Asimov archives, and Apple IIe
Ok so the two programs are "Math Blaster Plus" and "Read 'N Roll".
They were published by Davidson & Associates in 1987
ProDOS Loads fine but instead of going right into the program
It goes to the program selector. In The case of the Read and Roll Disk, I hit
RNR.System and It still goes to the program selector. same thing happens with Math blaster plus
Can anybody help me with this ?
The attachments should help you.
Thanks

Well, no solution yet, but at least an explanation... the Math Blaster Plus disks on Asimov look like 800k disks. The .DSK one really isn't a 5-1/4" floppy image. It's something else.

Edit: This game will only run on a GS. That explains the 800k .DSK - there was a (brief) period of time where that was an acceptable suffix to put on 800k disks too. And, of course the .SDK is a dead giveaway. Only GS users really used that.

So, as far as the 8-bit Apple IIe not loading the program, Is it a problem with the version of ProDOS the diskette has?
Could I just easily insert a new ProDOS version on the diskette using Copy II Plus?

Well... you could just as easily use any other ProDOS diskette at all. But yes, if the 800k image suits you, you could just copy over BASIC.SYSTEM from any other ProDOS diskette and have it boot that instead of the GS game on your IIe. The IIe loads the program fine - it just crashes in such a way that the ProDOS exit code is called, and so you are presented with the file chooser again.
