light up keyboard in new 12inch powerbook

Hi I am trying to do a light up keyboard mod on my new powerbook. I noticed today that when i turned on the caps lock key the letters glowed also so i was thinking what would happen if i put some el wire underneath i would go for the sheet but a little expensive. i found a site that has a tiny transformer and illuminates 6 feet of wire which would be enough for one wire per row of keys.

i just need to know where i could hook up a 3 volt supply preferably to a wire that goes to the screen so it would turn off when the comp was asleep. any help would be great.

Nope, if it had a backlit key

Nope, if it had a backlit keyboard and a pcmcia card slot it would be perfect.

No, the 12" ones don't come with light-up keyboards. That's the point.

The 12" is meant as a low-end PowerBook. It's powerful, but does not have the card or the lit keys. Would be nice if it did, but of course, A) the computer's cramped enough they couldn't fit a PCMCIA slot anywhere and Dirol the keyboard I would say is a luxury for people willing to go 15". I think ALL Apple's keyboards should have lighting standard. Even desktops and iBooks. Kiss 2

And what about battery swapping?!?

That's the worst for me, you have to plug in or shut down 12" PBs to swap batteries. How hard would it have been to include an internal battery!?!

Heck, the 12" PB is looks to me like a metal-cased iBook! Not that that's bad, iBook is pretty spiffy, but . . . ahh, forget it!
