This may seem minor, but I just bought a used Ibook with ma creaky screen- it feels like it might tear the screen off every time I open it. How do I fix it? WD-40? Please help. Thanks.

I experienced that problem as well when we bought a used iBook off of eBay a few years ago. We just *carefully* shot a *small* amount of WD-40 into the case where the hinges would be, and it solved the problem just fine.
Did you have to open the ibook to put the wd-40 in or did you just do it from the outside?
No disassembly required. Simply attach the little straw that comes with every new can of WD-40 to the nozzle on the can and point it where the little cracks are where the screen hinges meet the bottom half of the iBook.
thanks very much. I really appreciate it.
