6115Cd wont send signal to monitor without holding down apple, alt p& r.

Gotta love old tech lol. Soooo. My 6115CD wont send signal to the monitor ( original monitor that came with it in the box , apple branded)  unless i boot holding down P,R,apple and ALT. I thought maybe the original owner had messed something up in the OS settings so i reformatted and reinstalled OS ...still having the issue.

Its not a deal breaker or anything its just annoying lol.

Any one have any idea what could be causing this issue?

The battery powers the PRAM,

The battery powers the PRAM, so if it's the original battery and you need to reset the PRAM each time, it's a likely cause.

No, the battery shouldn't

No, the battery shouldn't affect the keyboard and mouse. One thing to be aware of is that ADB isn't hot-swappable. It's possible (although I don't think likely) to damage the controller if you try to plug an ADB device in after boot. And devices plugged in after boot may not work until you restart. Usually it works fine, but something to be aware of if you're having problems.

Something else you could try is pluggin the mouse in directly, without the keyboard.
