I have purchased one of these

I have purchased one of these cards from Claudio, and he worked with me to be as sure as possible it would function on my Briel Replica 1 Plus. I am quite happy with my purchase, it has brought much needed life and storage to my Apple 1 clone :)

If anyone in the future is to use one of these with a Briel replica 1 plus, I used the latest model of the Briel replica as of this posting, and the following steps were needed:

Briel Replica 1 Plus:

Jumper 5V from test point near edge connector to pin 1 of the slot connector (Easy mod especially if you assembled the Briel to begin with). I did this on the underside of the PCB.

*Per P-lab, "the modifications of the board need to be applied only to "PCB revision 1.13".:

p-lab SD slot card:

Carefully lift IC 74159 from it's socket, bending out only pins 3 and 4 so they do not contact the socket, and then carefully re-insert the IC

remove both jumpers on the sdcard PCB (1000-1FFF and 16/32K jumpers)

I will let Claudio clarify but it sounds like the next revision might not need the modificaitons listed here.

Briel's Replica-1+ and Apple-1 microSD

Hi all,

as anticipated by skate323k137 (a big thank you!!!), with just a few mods it is possible to use Apple-1 microSD storage card with Briel Computers Replica-1 Plus.

Reference guide has been uploaded to the usual GitHub page:

https://p-l4b.github.io/sdcard/

Modifications refer to units already in circulation (PCB v1.13) or currently in preparation (PCB v1.16).

Further changes or improvements will be promptly communicated!

Enjoy! :-)

The documentation looks great

The documentation looks great, and it was a pleasure to help. I hope many others consider buying one of these [when your next production is done]. The time savings of loading programs with one, vs. over a serial terminal, is incredible. And the command line for finding and running programs is very intuitive, something I never thought I would say in the same breath as "Apple 1 replica." Very well done and well designed product.
