hi guys I have a problem with the floppy drive of my macintosh lc, it reads the floppies to me but you can't finalize the formatting (neither in MSDOS nor MAC format), has anyone had a similar problem?
Error #-84 is Track Failed to Verify.
There may be a problem with the write circuit of the FDD. Check for leaking caps on the floppy drive, they should all have them by now.
I don't see leaky capacitors on the floppy pcb, the ones on the motherboard I have replaced all. So are you telling me that it is impossible that the floppy head has problems? Shouldn't be reading right? I am going crazy
The magnetic head is fine, since it reads perfectly well.
is there any software that verifies the perfect functioning of the head? for now i order the 3 capacitors on the pcb of floppy drive
