I’m excited to announce version 1.8.0 of A2C_DVI with audio support! The 1.8 version of the firmware supports A2CDVI hardware that supports audio and video output to your DVI/hdmi display. Joshua (MrTechGadget) is also announcing immediate availability of his A2CDVI 2.5 hardware, supporting audio for $35! ( https://www.tindie.com/products/mrtechgadget/a2cdvi/ ). For folks that bought Josh’s v2.0 hardware, check your email for a $10-off coupon. Firmware sources are available here: ( https://github.com/FarLeftLane/A2C_DVI_Firmware/tree/master ).
Some details of the development here: ( https://youtu.be/x5fiK1UCinE?si=V9cBqMYQE5IIes7n ).

Sweet! I wish I had a //c so I could support your project. Closest thing I have is a couple of Laser 128 units. It is my understanding that the Laser 128 video port may not be close enough for this product to work.
Correct, the Laser 128 won't work. Unfortunately the pinout is different and it is missing the WNDW signal I need.
It should be there (just named DISPEN' instead)—check the schematics.
Sweet!
I ordered one. Can't wait to try it with my //c setup.
Thanks for the heads up!
Does this work with PAL IIc?TIA.
Hello!
I got mine the other day from Tindie and it's very cool!
Picture looks beautiful on a big screen.Couple of minor things are that the 3D printed case is too thick so you need to take the pcb board out for a proper snug fit onto the Apple //c video port.
I noticed two artifacts on the screen when testing Qix and Ultima II. They also appear in 80 column mode as a single zero in two locations. I could see them while playing Infocom Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
I'll have to see if there is a firmware update for those. Otherwise it's a great low cost solution for the //c to a big screen.
This was tested on the early Apple //c with the most recent firmware and a Zip Chip 4000 (on and off).
Thanks!
Yes, this works perfectly with PAL, we've had dozens of confirmations from users in multiple continents.
Yeah. Laser line has a "real" RGB port.
Hey, if you are in the US send me a DM with your name and address and I'll drop the latest case design in the mail for you that fixes the tough button and the loose connection issues you mentioned. If you aren't in the US, I'll still send you the new files to 3D print.
Just got mine - works great on my PAL apple iic. Feels weird connecting up to my oled TV which has more computing power than the apple. I no longer need to use the bulky apple iic pal rf modulator and an old TV.
Running of things to do on the iic - have wdrive for floppy/SP emulation, ramworks 1mb RAM update, Bluetooth joystick module, and rom xc. I think it's pretty much completed all the upgrades unless I can squeeze a mockingbird or fast cpu in.
Leave room for the Xdrive2c! Coming soon.
This is really great news because there hasn't been a really great solution for the Laser 128 until now.
