Hi... I'm not a HAM user but based on your video I do searched the internet to find some information about your Terminal Node Controller. I do find the following which may can help as there is a troubleshooting section...
http://matsp888.no-ip.org/~mats/hamradio/text/Packet/tnc2118a.txt
Following is a Rev.1 document
ftp://tapr.org/software_lib/tnc/TNC1/tnc1-manual.pdf
Maybe this is of help for you...
Can you re-watch the movie and then reply.
I didn't insinuate that I did not have the Book that came with the modem.
The modem works in proterm 2.1 but not 3.1 with the same settings. Are you implying that hardware should be modified to accommodate a software issue?
J
I think the latter might be the case... as it seems that there are different Firmware versions available for your Terminal Node Controller.
Not sure if this might solve your problem, because as mentioned I'm not a HAM user nor located in the US. But taking a look at the first link there is something mentioned about a Firmware Update.
It's poking in the mist...
It wasnt the TNC. PROTERM 3.1 does not assume RTS high when no X flow as 2.1 does. So I changed the DIP switch on the super serial card.
Pray tell how you decided that a firmware upgrade should be used on a perfectly working piece of hardware that only doesn't function with one terminal program but several others???
Which switch did you flip and into what position?
... and are you using a standard serial cable?
