I just posted part 2 of my Apple II disk archiving series on NorseWanderer.com.
I’m running an unenhanced //e with a Practical Peripherals seriALL in slot 2, a Floppy Emu, a Disk II and a Cumana clone, and ADT Pro 2.1 over serial. I couldn’t find a single report of a seriALL working with ADT Pro, so I wrote up the DIP switch and jumper settings that work for me, the config screen values, and the PR#2 / CTRL-A V trick for checking what the card thinks its settings are. Oddly, the PC side only connects at 115200 even though the card’s switches top out at 19200. I thought this may be useeful to anyone else who wants to capture using the SeriALL card since I couldn't find any concrete information when I was searching on how to get it setup.
I also cover bootstrapping ADT Pro over the audio port when the Emu went away for repair, and why I test the whole chain with a known good System Master before any real disk goes in a drive.
If you’ve run a seriALL a different way, I’d like to hear about it.
