Hello All,

Our family’s needs have changed.  We have a beautiful 2.0 GHz, 20-inch iMac G5 computer that we love.  But, my wife is going back to college, and would like to have a portable computer that she can take with her to class.

So, I am looking to see what kind of trade we might be able to work out for a portable computer.

If you would prefer to skip the text description and jump directly to the page where I have all the pictures and formatted text, you can use this link:

This system is only a few months old.  We purchased it directly from Apple computer in October of 2005.  It also has the extended AppleCare warranty.  This warranty coverage provides complete protection for the system until October 23rd of 2008.

This warranty is transferrable.  So, you can rest assured that this computer will serve you well for years to come.

I’ll detail the specifications below.  But, first, I’ll explain what we are looking for.

We are looking for a potential trade with someone who has a recent model Apple iBook or PowerBook G4.  We are open to the idea of a straight-accross swap if the specs of the portable computer are high enough.  Otherwise, we will consider partial trades (such as iBook / Power Book plus cash / money order for the iMac G5).

We are most interested in a portable computer that still has warranty coverage from Apple.  AppleCare would be a motivating factor in considering your trade over other systems.  It is always nice to have the assurance of a warranty.  Especially since our system still has such a long warranty period left.

So, the longer the remaining warranty on your system, the more likely we are to be interested in your system.

I understand that the original (1-year) factory warranty is not transferrable.  So, any system without AppleCare is basically “As-Is
