A real stumper

ok, I have a 4th generation U2 iPod that I just got, windows formatted, latest software (3.1.1). BTW, it's the non-colour display one.

is there ANY way to get it to show up under mac OS 9.2.2? I have iTunes 2.0.4 installed, and it's got an apple firewire cable, and a 3rd-party retractible USB cable. both allow the iPod to charge when hooked to the computer (B&W G3, BTW).

any 3rd pary apps out there?

and I dont have X installed YET. I will have it soon, but I was playing around, and wondering. if it doesnt, it's not going to break my heart. not life threatining.

ISTR the iPod stopped being OS 9 compatible in the first few generations when iTunes stopped being updated for it.

yeah, I know the 1st and 2nd gen pods are dfically supported under 9, i was just wondering if it could be done on the later generations. that's all. Like I said, if not, then no biggie.
