hi i have just hooked up my old clamshell internal antenna to my orinoco card and i was wondering how much more range will i get and what are other home made/ salvageable types, i have seen the cantenna and i liked the idea but i am not sure how i would fair making it ?

I think you'll get about the same range as the built-in antenna on the orinoco card, but maybe a little bit better as you can move the antennas around
