what should i do to my emac?

im having a difficult time trying to find out what to do to my emac.
the specs are:
700mhz G4
640mb ram
40gb HDD
CD RW burner
32mb v-ram

i was thinking of updating to a dvd/cd-rw drive or a dvd-rw. i was also thinking of a bigger hard drive and maby some lights here and there. maby ill make the case clear if its painted inside like the older ibooks. some ideas would be appreciated.

thank you,

simon :macos:

I picked up a 200GB Seagate 7

I picked up a 200GB Seagate 7200 rpm drive the other day at CompUSA for $100 after rebates; they're always having some kind of deal so a big hard drive would be a great upgrade.

You can also get a Pioneer DVR-A06 for pretty cheap (since the A07s just came out), and that would give you a nice multiformat DVD burner.

hmm...

I'm not sure about the being painted part, but that would be awesome if it was. A clear eMac would be fun.

eCluster

I realize you probably only have one, but eMacs are so affordable... what, about $1300 for a maxed out e-node? That would give about 3486 G4 procs to my university's 2200 G5 proc cluster for $5 mil. it would HAVE to make the top 500 supercomputer list, even with stock 100BaseT backbone, right? Maybe the top 50? Could someone add up the flops for me, I'm not sure how many a 1Ghz G4 gets, say @ 4 gigaflops? Multiply that 3500 times, and it adds up to about 13 teraflops, so, that would edge out System X for the number 3 slot.

OK, OK, eNUFF, right?

Screen

And build it so you can Distribute the monitor Screen space so you can stand wayyyyyy back and look at all the monitors working together to make one big monitor.

Actually the iBook would be better than the eMac.
