The most helpful error message is:

"Internal Error"

What are you supposed to do now?!

You do have the disks, don't you?

thanks davintosh, but everything else works fine. Yes I have the CS2 installer disks... but this error only shows up on one Mac, using one file.

Since the post I narrowed it down to a linked image, but if you make a brand-new document and place the same image into it, no error occurs.

Weird!

Sounds like the file got corrupted at some point. I've seen the same happen with Quark & Pagefaker files in the past.

From your first question I assumed that the problem wasn't limited to one document; one needs more information for an accurate diagnosis. Wink

It was not only a cry for help but a comment on the poor quality of Adobe's dialog box.
Except for when the software is running on a machine with faulty hardware, there should never be an error dialog that tells you nothing.
