Just think, if you had bought the thing new back in '78 - you could recoup your investment 29 years later.
There was a IIe that went for a lot more, like around 5-6K by two people that did not know waht they were bidding on. The one that came in second and lost, bought a II+ for around 2500.

Yep. The very first ones didn't. Another after-effect of the reality distortion field(*) that ultimately bowed to the true nature of heat.
