So I just picked up a 12" Powerbook G4. Within about 10 min of owning it, I noticed a bad pixel on the top left side of the screen about 1/2" down. It's stuck on it a blue. Anyways I turned it on a little while later and couldn't find it anymore! I thought that maybe i got lucky and it fixed itself. However, about 3 min later i saw it was back. Strangely enough it isn't there until the screen has been running for about 2 min. So am I just out of luck? I remember reading something a long time ago about rubbing a bad pixel on an LCD to make it go away. Is that just a load of BS or is there something else I can do to get rid of it? I ask because its different than the one that showed up on my iBook. That one is there no matter what, but this one is blue and only there when the screen has been running.

Correction: I guess the correct term is "stuck" or "hot" pixel in my case.
That may be one that could be fixed by "exercising" it. http://www.jscreenfix.com/ I've got a stuck pixel on a 17" LCD that is always on and that didn't help it. By having one that comes and goes you might be able to get it to work for it.
Ya I found that site but I have one problem. The window will not go over my stuck pixel. With Safari open, the pixel is right in the middle of the "minimize" button so I can't get that window on top of it. Is there a way to quit the menu bar or something so i could move that window up higher? Maybe rotate the Close, Minimize, and Maximize bar to side of the window instead of on top?
cant you just move the window to the area you want, or size the window bigger manualy.
Yes you can, but in my case the pixel is too high up on the screen for the window to reach. The window is a java thiny, so it is run from the web browser. On the top of the browser there is the bar with the Close, Minimize, and Maximize buttons in it. The pixel rests up in this bar. In other words, I can't move the window any higher on the screen. See what I mean? If i could turn off that bar or the menu bar then I may be able to move the window up higher.
If this were Linux I'd recommend using the hold Alt and Left Click to drag the window anywhere method, but I'm not aware of similar functionality on Mac OS X.
