Hi everyone. I have a Powermac 9600 with 384Mb of RAM, a 6Gb SCSI hard drive, and a 333MHz G3 upgrade card running 9.1. I have been trying to import video clips onto it using the built in analog ports. I've been using Apple Video Player without virtual memory turned on and I can never get the imported video to be smooth. Its always choppy and i figure there has to be a better way to do this. Anyone have any ideas on how to make this work? Maybe some other applications for importing video that may improve my results? I just need something that will run under OS 9, import using the built in analog ports, and hopefully be free.

Try BTV, which seemed to do a better job for me importing video through the Beige G3's video over AVP.
You must mean a Powermac 8600. The 9600 does not have analog ports.
Haha, actually i meant to say 7600. I would love to have a dual 350MHz Powermac 9600 thought
