Check the Mac's internal battery. Some of the old Macs wouldn't boot up without a working PRAM battery.
Hey,
If you mean that the 660AV works and just can't produce video to the monitor, it's probably a mismatch on what the 660 is putting out and what the monitor is expecting. What Power Mac do you use the monitor on?

Where could I be able to buy a computer batery?
I tried it on my Power Mac 8100/80 and it worlked fine
Radio Shack had them, last I heard.
You can also cheat, and adapt two AA batteries to do the same job if you don't mind tinkering.
Hey,
Does the 660AV chime when you start it? Does it work with other monitors?

I tired to get it to work with other monitors but it only works with the Apple 14" monitor that I am currently trying to get to work with it, as for does it chime yes it does.
I am going to try zapping the PRAM to see if that makes it work.
Hey,
You don't need a battery. What's happening is that the refresh rate or resolution of the monitor is beyond what is currently set for the 660AV. Be advised that the old quad nay not have the juice to power that monitor. There are vid cards for the 660Av but an angle adapter may also be needed.
