What happened to CJS Macintosh?

I've had my vintage macs repaired several times there by the very knowladgeable John Sawyer and today wanted to get in contact with him again. Sadly I came across some posts from people who stated (and I verified) that his phone number is disconnected and his website is offline, one person even stated that up to the point of the number being disconnected they never got a SE mac they dropped off and still have not gotten it back (was dropped off apparently for data recovery). CJS Macintosh seemed to be doing very well so what happened? Hopefully the worst has not happened to John Sawyer?
