does any one know if a silicon graphics monitor will work with a macintosh g3 tower?
i have heard that it ties into the silicon graphics software and if this is true is there any software that can make it work on a mac?

thanx,

Which monitor? If it's one o

Which monitor? If it's one of the OEM'd Sonys or such it'd probably work with an plug adapter. If it's that big 24" wide-screen CRT, I have no idea.

I'm guessing that it's a 13W3

I'm guessing that it's a 13W3 plug? If so, any Mac 15-pin D-sub to 13W3, or Mac 15 -> VGA -> 13W3 cou7ld work. There are many places on and off line that sell them. It might be a good idea to chack your local colleges or art/design schools IT departments. They might just have a few lying around that you could get cheap or free.
