Is it possible to turn my performa 550's monitor into....almost a TV? I need to get the monitor to recognize A/V plugs.

Is it possible to turn my performa 550's monitor into....almost a TV? I need to get the monitor to recognize A/V plugs.

this sounds rather odd, I know. But, is it possible? Does anyone here know and would be willing to explain?

Yes

I used my LC 580 as a TV for while. You need Apple Video Player. Turn to the AV channel and there you go. I used a VCR as a TV tuner. The only thing I didn't like was the loud fan in my Mac, it was kind of distracting when watching at low volumes. Hope this helps.

You'll also need the video input card if your 550 doesn't have one installed
