The GF4Ti is only marginally

The GF4Ti is only marginally faster, and you will loose core image/Quartz 2D Extreme suppport as the GF4Ti doesnt support these. The next logical upgrade would be to an ATI Radeon 9600 or 9800. Or if you have the money, the X800 which is leaps and bounds faster.

try it

If it works you'll be the first to know. There's very little chance you'll blow up anything if that's your worry.

If it does work, run some benchmarks and see which is faster . . . and let us know the results, eh?

IT WORKS!

I got it to work (with a lot of asprin) today! It is only slightly faster but with Halo, IT ROCKS! I have a single 1.8 ghz G5 and all of the settings are maked with no problem at all. Also it works well with Doom 3. It works even better than a ATI 9600!

Well of course it works, no r

Well of course it works, no reason it wouldent. It will be faster in some games then the 64MB Radeon 9600 because it has the extra VRAM. In situations not limited by VRAM, the 9600 will start to pull a head a bit. Also, the 9600 supports smart shader 2.0 and the like, which the GF4 doesnt. It also has ATI displays that goes with it, so it has full over ride support.

But if your happy with it, then thats good Smile
