Does anyone know if the combo drive from an iBook will work in a Lombard/Pismo Powerbook?

It would have to be a tray loading combo drive.
I've been able to get slot loading combo drives to work in Lombard/Pismo drive trays with good results. Granted, there's no bezel and it's ugly as sin, but it gets the job done.

The only issue is if the iBook drive is set to Slave in the drive itself, where the PB EBM drive expects a Master device. This is normally only an issue for CD-booting. Where you want to boot from the optical by holding the "C" key on startup, the 'Book looks for a Master device in the EB.
