Powerbook G3 Logic Boards

Hi,

I have a Powerbook G3 Lombard at home (no firewire) and I am desperately needing firewire ports. I have seen a Pismo logic board on eBay going quite cheap, and wondered if you can swap them around easily? what changes will i need to make to the laptop?

Thanks

Oli

Looks can be deceiving

Despite how similar they appear on the outside, the Pismo and Lombard have very very different initernal bits. You may be able to reuse your lcd, but depending on what you need to do with firewire, buying a firewire pc card may be the most cost effective option for you.
