Apple II

Any help appreciated, first time posting. Feel like I've tried everything under the sun to get the "cassette in" on my Apple ][+ to fully work. I CAN get low fi files from http://asciiexpress.net/ to work, so the signal is getting to the Apple. On their site's README it says "If HIFI does not work for you, then it never will on that system, use 8KFI."  That's a pretty vague stattement, but opens up a question. Has ANYONE gotten a ][+ to accept HIFI? My system won't accept 8KFI either.

So, I thought that it'd be cool to buy a WiModem 232 Pro and a Apple 8-Pin Mini-DIN to DB25 Male Modem Cable to connect to my Apple IIGS. I would most likely use it for BBSes, but I'm not really sure if it's worth it -- what do you guys think? Are there any other uses for a WiModem?

I'm a computer-and-coding type of guy. I code in like 6 different proggramining languages, but I thought, hey why not try to get my hands on one of those old Apple IIGS that we all used to love. So, I've been doing lots of research and creating a whole document with the parts I'd like to buy and use. Do you guys have any feedback on things I should/shouldn't get?

I purchased a Rev 3 motherboard on eBay with the hopes of installing it in my original Apple II. I currently have a working Rev 4 motherboard in the Apple II. I started by testing all the ICs that came with the Rev 3 row by row by placing them into the Rev 4 motherboard. I was able to find one or two bad ICs this way. During this process I had placed the ICs removed from the Rev 4 MB into the Rev 3 MB so I had known good ICs in the Rev 3.
