Studio Display Blue & White Settings

Is there a setting on the b&w studio display that disables the mode it goes to when there is no signal. Here is the problem. I am trying to use a KVM switch. When I connect my monitor to the KVM it acts like it doesn't have a signal.

Another Project That Interests Me

In addition to the Classic hack I'd like to do (see my blog for 12/22/04 for details), I'd also like to do another computer modification that involves the Apple Portrait Display.

I picked up one from a local thrift store for a couple of bucks. The shape intrigued me ever since I saw the original advertisement, but with an original price of $1050 or so, I just had to be content in waiting. If you are unfamiliar with this monitor, the specifications can be found at EveryMac.com (http://www.everymac.com/monitors/apple/classic_monitors/specs/apple_mac_portrait.html).

Finding out how it all works

I will very soon be trying to build all apple computers from the apple 1 to as far as I can, I will be making a step by step description of all the way I am doing it so hopefully the outcome will be that any one will be able build any of them.
